Founding story

Relay is a technology company that builds products for small business to help simplify communication, online booking and payments for both you and your customers. Small businesses use our software to bring everything together into one place—for free. If you are a customer focused business, Relay is for you.

Our why is simple: Field service professionals lack the tools they need to run and grow their business. We’ve spent time researching customer relationship management, marketing, scheduling, and similar platforms in and around the space – and built something beautiful and simple that combines online booking, communications and payments.

After living and building software in Silicon Valley for nearly a decade, our team recognized a massive opportunity to empower small businesses, the backbone of America's economy, outside of Silicon Valley. We launched in Utah and set our sights on the desk-less workforce. Our first customers entered our homes, sat down at our kitchen tables and taught us first-hand about the technology they wanted us to build. Then we built it.

Our founding team is made up of seasoned entrepreneurs and product leaders who are passionate about emerging technology. We've led product and growth initiatives at Silicon Valley-based Fortune 500 companies, venture-backed startups, and startup studios focusing on vertical software and conversational artificial intelligence. We lead with empathy.

Very! Because we do it with you. Immediately after signing up, your Onboarding Specialist will reach out to help you create your one touch tiles, pre-written messages, team member accounts, and more. After that, we'll train you and your team before going live and celebrating your first one tap message!
